Feedback from first event
The weather was absolutely perfect at the 4x4 Fun Day where the “Jimny Owners Club of KZN” had it’s debut in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday 12th May.
Thanks to all who supported the event for the fantastic atmosphere & especially the ”Team Suzuki” mascots- Amanda Kavanagh & Sue Van Rensburg, for their enthusiasm and support for the Ladies Team, driven by Leigh Baxendale & co driver- Ally Thomson, (see photos).
Whilst the Jimnies did not compete this time round- they were acknowledged as the best possible 4x4 to launch a “Beginners Ladies Team,” in this traditionally male dominated sport. Interestingly- the organizer: Lee Baxendale of “Procreations,” is on a drive to promote women participating in this tough sport.
Lee’s wife- Leigh Baxendale and co-driver Ally Thomson, achieved a brilliant 6th place overall, narrowly missing 3rd after an extremely technical obstacle took it’s toll.
While the bigger (pricier!) 4x4’s were roaring around, the Jimnies drew in a lot of interest from the families & spectators who doted over the Jimnies for having the ”CUTE-FACTOR”.. with the tough off-road ability rolled into one.
The next gathering of the Jimny Owners Club, will be an out-drive with technical skills being taught in an off-road environment, river-crossing and trails through our breathtaking KZN countryside.

First Club Event Invite
Hello to all Suzuki Owners, wannabe Owners, and all Outdoors-enthusiasts
I am very happy to announce our first club event, my initiative here is just to get interest up and we will be using my company Jimny on the 4x4 track, driven by a registered instructor with us in the car screaming like school-girls.. MYSELF INCLUDED!
I am inviting you and whomever you wish to bring, to the event on Saturday 12th May at Mountain View in PMB(see Map attached). As you can see, there’s a small entry fee at the venue, but it’s going to be well worth your while(please see attached flyer).
I am really super-excited to have you all on board and look forward to seeing you on the day.

The start of our club
There’s only one way to describe it- a
Suzuki Jimny is like a Jack Russel puppy.. it just burrows it’s way right into
your heart! It grows into a member of your family and whomever “the Skeptic”
was when you went shopping for your Jimny, quickly becomes the biggest fan and
“borrows” your new car every chance he or she gets
Personally, I have always loved the iconic
little Suzuki “jeep”- the SJ410 that most of us remember from the ‘80’s. SJ410
stands for exactly that: Suzuki Jeep, 4-wheel drive 1,0 litre.. that’s right a
1 litre 4x4 that arguably has done more than any other car to take two
generations off-roading. The SJ410 was the original “VW Beetle” of the off-road
community- affordable, basic & born to just never give up!
As destiny would have it- I now drive,
love.. oh & yes- sell Suzuki
Jimnies.
I married my best friend & traveling
companion in July 2011 & started with Suzuki when back from honeymoon.
My Jimny clients quickly grew in number and
fond stories quickly joined spectacular photos with Jimnies posing in adventurous
places.. it was obvious to me- we had to start our own little community of
adventurers
